OUR CHARITY SHOPS
Our charity shop relies on regular donations of good quality items and purchases to carry on the vital animal welfare work at the centre.
Every time you donate to our charity shop or purchase from them, you are making a vital contribution to our centre which doesn’t go unnoticed.
Our shops
Our shop sells a wide range of clothing and accessories, household goods and bric-a-brac, electrical items and other goodies, including DVDs, CDs, games and puzzles. If you are donating items, please note there are some products we are unable to accept so please call ahead if in any doubt. Donations can be dropped off directly at the shop and we also offer a collection service with our shop van being out on the road twice a week.
All our shops rely heavily on volunteers to staff them and we are always looking for more help. Typical volunteering tasks include serving customers, sorting donated items, creating eye-catching displays for our windows and whatever your skills, we have a role to suit. You do not need any previous retail experience and will gain new skills and friends along the way. See our ‘volunteer page’ on how to apply.
Gift Aid
You can make your donation go even further, at no extra cost to you with Gift Aid. If you are a UK tax payer, you can add Gift Aid to monetary donations and goods donated to our charity shops. The branch will receive an extra 25p for every £1 you donate under the Gift Aid scheme. If you're donating goods, there's a quick and simple form to fill out, then you'll receive your Gift Aid number which you can give to us each time you donate.
